XMLDiff has a new home
In preparation for the imminent closure of NeSCForge, the XMLDiff package (source code, releases, and documentation) has been moved to a new home alongside the main DiGS software stack on CCPForge.
DiGS 3.1 is released
The team is pleased to announce the release of DiGS Version 3.1.
The main change, in this version, is the inclusion of support for SRM-based storage technologies (such as DPM and StoRM). Full details of how to add SRM storage to a data grid is provided in the DiGS 3.1 Setup Guide.
Second, the technology preview of the new Java-based GUI client has matured, and should be sufficiently stable for general use. The GUI client can be run on Unix/Linux, Microsoft Windows, and Mac OS platforms, provided a suitable Java Runtime Environment is available.
Third, DiGS 3.1 has been confirmed to be compatible with Globus 5.0.
Finally, and as usual, there are a number of bug fixes and 'under-the-hood' changes to the program code, to improve its robustness and performance.
