The anonymous pserver based checkout of a project CVS doesn't seem to work. The following has been tried by three people: cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@ccpforge.cse.rl.ac.uk:/cvsroot/ccpn-chemcomp login Then <return> when it asks for a password, but all we get is: cvs [login aborted]: connect to ccpforge.cse.rl.ac.uk(130.246.10.13):2401 failed: Operation timed out Are there admin settings I have to change somewhere for this to work? Alas still the same issue. I've tried from computers behind our pretty serious firewall, plus from one that's not so shielded. For both get: cvs [login aborted]: connect to ccpforge.cse.rl.ac.uk(130.246.10.13):2401 failed: Operation timed out I am using pserver from at least one of these machines without problems. Seeing as it works for you, could it not be related to access settings on the CCPForge server? Thanks, Wim |

It looks like the firewall at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory is blocking traffic on the 2401 port that these anonymous requests use. I will ask our network team to open the port and tell you when the access is enabled. Sorry for these problems. David |

The port has been opened on the RAL firewall and you should have anonymous access to the repository. Please let me know how you get on. David |
